China: Smog predicted
Smog is expected to engulf parts of northern China on Friday and Saturday, bringing with it respiratory problems and possible travel delays, Xinhua News reports.
The smog will hit Beijing as well as Shandong, Henan and Hebei provinces, reducing visibility and contributing to air pollution.
Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province can expect heavy smog on Saturday, but a cold front from March 5-8 will help dispel the air pollution.
Travellers are advised to avoid any unnecessary outdoor activities during times of unhealthy smog.
